Triple Offset Butterfly Valve

BOV offers a comprehensive range of Triple Offset Butterfly Valve in a variety of body styles and materials to address critical process requirements in diverse industries such as hydrocarbon, power, chemicals & fertiliser, water, etc. The valve is available with 3 distinctly different seat design versions, viz. Soft seated, Fire safe and Metal to Metal seated with wafer or wafer lugged, flanged body option.

In Triple offset Butterfly Valve, the shaft is offset from the sealing surface and body centre line. Further the sealing cone is rotated away from the bore centre line to create a third offset.

The offset geometry ensures that the body and disc come into contact only at the final shut-off position. This eliminates wear and tear due to interference, reduces operating torque and enhances product life.

Triple offset Butterfly Valves meet the Fugitive Emission Test requirement of ISO 15848. This is achieved by employing high-integrity graphite gland packing and a gasket between bottom cover and body.

Triple Offset Butterfly Valve are torque-seated valves where bubble-tight sealing is achieved when the laminar seal flexes and generates a compressive force all around the hard-faced body seat.
The laminar seal of Triple offset Butterfly Valve are designed to be replaceable at site. It is also possible to renew the integral hard-faced body seat of TOBV by re-depositing Stellite.

Face-to-face dimensions of Triple offset Butterfly Valve in Wafer Flangeless and Wafer Lugged constructions conform to API 609.

Key Features :

Double / Triple offset butterfly valve disc design with a spherical profile seat eliminates seat wear and ensures perfect sealing every time.
Availability of wafer lugged body with through drilled or threaded holes.
Available in 3 distinctly different seat version viz. PTFE seat, Fire Safe seat and Metal to Metal seated.
Stuffing box type gland sealing to enable field adjustment of shaft sealing.
Gland packing standardized on graphoil rings (non-asbestos) to offer widest operating temperature range coupled with excellent media resistance.
Metal seat standardized on Inconel 625 material to offer maximum temperature resistance and minimum seat deformation.
Option of seat material for soft seated version in virgin PTFE or filled PTFE
Seat removal without disconnecting of shaft and disc.
Split ring type thrust pad provided for the drive end shaft prevents axial movement of the disc as well as ensures the required ‘anti-static’ feature for the valve.
Special material of construction available optionally for specific services.
